Design from a Task Goal
Use Design Prompt when you know the result you need, but still need help turning that task into a reusable Prompt.
How to open it
Website: Open Design Prompt.
Extension: On a normal webpage, click a text box and type /p, or click the floating ball, then select Design Prompt.
When to use Prompt Design
Choose Design Prompt when you need a clearer role, context, inputs, output format, or constraints. In the extension, use Easy Chat when you want a direct answer rather than a reusable Prompt. The website does not include Easy Chat. Use Optimize Prompt when you already have a Prompt and need frameworks, iteration, or dual testing.
How to design a Prompt
- Describe the task the final Prompt should perform.
- Add the audience, source material, constraints, or expected output.
- Answer the guided questions and correct anything that does not match the task.
- Review the proposed Prompt, then Test it or save it.
What to include
- the role the AI should take
- the task goal and useful context
- required inputs or source material
- output format, language, tone, and audience
- constraints and what to avoid
Sessions
Each design task keeps its own history. You can start a new task, return to a previous session, delete one you no longer need, and choose the response language.
Test and use the result
Test the designed Prompt with a real example. Check the facts, tone, and format. Then revise it and save it to My Prompts.
On the website, copy the Prompt or save it. The website does not apply the result to another site’s input field.
In the extension, you can also apply it to the current field.
